Parents as Teachers (PAT) is an evidence-based parent education and support program that empowers parents as their child\u2019s first teacher. PAT uses a home visitation model, working with families from pregnancy until their child enters kindergarten.<\/p>\n

Through home visits and ongoing assessment, parent educators are able to provide early detection of developmental delays and health issues, help in the prevention of child abuse and neglect, and increase children\u2019s school readiness and success.<\/p>\n
