HIPPY Changes Lives<\/strong><\/h1>\n

Decades of research have shown the HIPPY model to be effective in improving school readiness, parent involvement, school attendance, and standardized test scores in reading and math throughout elementary school.<\/p>\n

Kids in HIPPY are more ready for kindergarten<\/strong><\/h4>\n

Children who participated in HIPPY were between 1.5 and 2 times more likely to test ready for kindergarten<\/strong> compared to their peers. 1<\/a><\/p>\n

A study of children from mostly low-income, Latino families found that those who participated in HIPPY as young children outperformed their peers<\/strong> on 5th grade reading and math assessments. 3<\/a><\/p>\n

\u201cParents who participated in HIPPY learning activities with their child reported closer parent\u2013child relationships\u201d than those who weren\u2019t involved with HIPPY.4<\/a><\/p>\n

According to kindergarten teachers, 91% of HIPPY parents were \u201cas involved\u201d or \u201cmore involved\u201d<\/strong> as their peers in their child\u2019s education. 5<\/a><\/p>\n
