What is PAT?<\/strong><\/h2>\n

Parents as Teachers (PAT)<\/a> is a FREE parent education and family support program for families with children from prenatal through kindergarten. Trained parent educators, also known as home visitors, meet regularly with families (once or twice a month) in your home or at a location convenient for you. During these visits you\u2019ll receive child development information, parenting strategies, fun activities to promote school readiness, and connections to community resources. Children also receive annual screenings (hearing, vision, and developmental) to make sure they\u2019re on track to start kindergarten ready to learn. Services are FREE of charge and are for parents, foster\/kinship parents, grandparents, and anyone else caring for children in their custody.<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n

Monthly or twice monthly (depending on your needs). Each visit is approximately 60 minutes.<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n
