History

Parent Possible was formed in 1991 by a team of volunteers with a vision of parents as their child’s first – and most influential – teacher.

From the beginning, the organization has focused its efforts on promoting and supporting high-quality, proven parent engagement programs. The initial emphasis was primarily on programs targeted at school readiness, delivered through a home visitation model. With the complex and stress-filled lives of today’s families, Parent Possible has expanded its efforts to include proven and promising programs that address health and well-being and family self-sufficiency in addition to school readiness.  All programs we promote and support are designed to meet parents  where they are – socially, emotionally, intellectually and geographically.

We believe that the best long-term, high-return educational investment is in the relationship our youngest children have with their parents.
