The Power of Possibilities 2017

Just three weeks ago we hosted the Inaugural Parent Possible Home Visiting Conference in Denver, CO at the Lowry Conference Center. After an entire year of planning, our staff was ecstatic to host over 200 participants from across Colorado for three days. Along with home visitors and supervisors from our program sites, we welcomed representatives from both Parents as Teachers National Center and HIPPY USA.

This conference was full of opportunities to share ideas, provide home visiting specific professional development, and connect with each other over our common goals. Our theme this year was The Power of Possibilities, emphasizing the impact that our home visitors have on the families they serve every day. We had over 40 workshops to offer to our attendees, ranging from topics on Home Visitor Best Practices to Advocacy & Evaluation Strategies. Our Awards Luncheon honored several outstanding members of PAT and HIPPY in Colorado.

We have been overwhelmed with the positive feedback received from this event and could not be happier that we were able to provide such a positive and valuable experience for our dedicated home visitors. Everyone left feeling inspired, energized, and reconnected to our work. Our staff is already planning for our next conference, and we can’t wait to see this event continue to grow in the coming years.
